The Department of Biomedical Sciences of Cells and Systems, section Molecular Cell Biology, provides state-of-the-art scientific training covering both a broad overview and in-depth survey of recent developments in cell biology and their medical implications. Target audiences include medical, dentistry, and life sciences students, research masters and PhD students. We have developed both originative and applied bachelor and (research) master courses with hands-on teaching by a large group of PI’s. We have developed various cutting edge PhD courses, including an extensive program in imaging techniques in our imaging facility. On a regular basis, our PI’s train master students in research projects. Members of the department are active in focused outreach programmes for patients, high school students and general public.
